Program Overview

GunStore.io, operated by Iron Infrastructure, LLC, provides transactional SMS messaging to end customers on behalf of subscribing gun stores (FFLs). Messages are sent from the subscribing store's identity using infrastructure operated by Iron Infrastructure, LLC.

These messages are limited to order-related notifications and are not used for marketing or promotional purposes. Messages you may receive include:

  • Order confirmations and status updates
  • Invoice notifications and payment reminders
  • Shipping and delivery updates with tracking information
  • Firearm transfer completion notices (Form 4473)
  • Pickup reminders with store hours and location
  • Document signing requests and completion notices

How Consent Is Obtained

Subscribing stores are responsible for obtaining explicit consent from their customers before SMS messages are sent through the Platform. The Platform provides consent collection tools and guidance, but the store is the party obtaining consent. Consent is typically collected in the following ways:

In-Store / Point of Sale

When placing an order in person, customers provide their phone number on the store's order intake form. The form includes the following disclosure directly above the phone number field:

"By providing your phone number, you agree to receive transactional SMS messages from [Store Name] via the GunStore.io platform, including order confirmations, invoice notifications, shipping updates, and transfer notifications. Message frequency varies. Msg & Data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe."

Customers actively write or type their phone number into a dedicated field beneath this disclosure. Phone numbers are not pre-filled or collected from third-party sources.

Online / Invoice Flow

When a store creates an invoice through the Platform, the customer's phone number — previously provided during order intake — is included on the invoice. The SMS consent disclosure is presented during the order intake process before the invoice is generated.

Phone / Remote Orders

When a customer places an order by phone, the store verbally reads the SMS consent disclosure and records the customer's agreement. The suggested verbal disclosure:

"We'll send you text message updates about your order — things like order confirmation, invoice, shipping, and pickup notifications. Standard message and data rates apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out. Is that okay?"

Customer consent is recorded in the Platform alongside the phone number.

Consent Record Keeping

All customer consent is recorded and stored in the GunStore.io platform. Each consent record includes:

  • The phone number provided
  • The method of consent (in-store form, phone verbal, online, or signing flow)
  • The date and time consent was obtained
  • The subscribing store that obtained consent
  • The order or transaction associated with the consent

Consent records are retained for the duration of the customer relationship and for a minimum of 5 years after the last transaction, in compliance with TCPA record-keeping best practices.

Order Confirmation

Invoice Notification

[Store Name]: Invoice INV-2091 for $549.00 has been sent to your email. Payment is due within 7 days. Reply STOP to opt out.

Transfer Complete

Your firearm transfer at [Store Name] is complete. Please retain your copy of Form 4473 for your records. Reply STOP to opt out.

Shipping Update

[Store Name]: Your order ORD-1052 has shipped via FedEx. Tracking: 123456789. Estimated delivery: Friday. Reply STOP to opt out.

Pickup Reminder

Reminder: Your firearm is ready for pickup at [Store Name]. Store hours: Mon-Sat 9-6. Reply STOP to opt out.

Document Signing Request

[Store Name] has sent you a document to sign. Review and sign here: [link]. Reply STOP to opt out.

Opt-Out Instructions

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time:

  • Reply STOP to any message
  • Contact the store that sent you the message directly
  • Email us at [email protected]

After opting out, you will receive a one-time confirmation message. You will not receive any further SMS messages from that store unless you re-subscribe by contacting them directly.

Message Frequency & Rates

Message frequency varies based on your order activity. Typically 2-6 messages per order lifecycle. Message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless carrier and plan.

Compatible with all major US carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others.

Platform Operator Responsibilities

Iron Infrastructure, LLC, as the platform operator:

  • Maintains the technical infrastructure for SMS delivery
  • Processes STOP and HELP keyword responses automatically
  • Provides consent collection tools and templates to subscribing stores
  • Monitors for compliance violations and may suspend SMS access for non-compliant stores
  • Retains consent records and message logs as required by law and carrier requirements
